Devil’s Den is a SpringAdventures top Florida Spring pick. This unique geological formation is almost completely underground, with an open skylight peering down into a subterranean world. Divers walk down stairs onto an expansive floating wooden dock platform in the middle of the spring. We recommend booking a guided dive if you haven't visited before so your guide can show you all the swim-throughs and hidden fossils. Full facilities include rental gear and camping on site.

As rising dive bubbles part the duckweed, dazzling shafts of sunlight pierce through the water—fondly called 'Jesus Lights.' Note: The 55-foot funnel is strictly off-limits to Open Water and Advanced divers. Full facilities include restrooms, pavilions, and grills.

Shallow Basin • Max Depth: 16' • Entrance: $6.00 per Vehicle

Fanning Springs State Park — Fanning Springs, FL

Fanning Springs is a wide freshwater spring basin with a maximum depth of 16 feet, making it an exceptional location for open water skill sessions, scuba refresher tune-ups, and gear checks. Troy Springs State Park — Mayo, FL

Located just off the Suwannee River in Lafayette County, Troy Springs features a 70-foot deep natural freshwater basin. Turning off dive lights at depth to look up at the illuminated cavern opening is unforgettable.

Blue Springs State Park — Orange City, FL

A designated winter refuge for West Indian manatees in Volusia County, Blue Springs offers open water diving up to 60 feet, with the limestone vent descending past 120 feet. Royal Springs — O’Brien, FL

Royal Springs is a free public county park on the Suwannee River featuring a concrete boat ramp and an open swimming basin. Divers can comfortably explore the 30-foot open spring basin.
