What is the cost to get certified to dive?

Learning to scuba dive is an unforgettable experience and it takes you into a world that can often feel like you are on another planet. Of course the cost always matters. The average entry-level dive course in Florida ends up costing

around $525 all in

. This is going to include the Scuba Certification itself which runs in the neighborhood of $385 and $140 or so in personal gear which is mask, fins, snorkel and botties. Some dive instructors will rent you the personal gear as well but it really is best to buy. Rental masks are often scratched and rental snorkels are usually just gross.
